Jitters Grow for U.K. Stock Market at Record Before Vote: Chart

(Bloomberg) -- For the U.K. stock market, everything seems calm ahead of Thursday’s general election. Yet even though measures of big-, mid- and small-cap shares hover around records, expectations for equity swings have been rising. As most gauges of stock turbulence across the globe fell, implied volatility for the FTSE 100 Index jumped 16 percent last week and reached a two-year high relative to the measure for euro-area shares.
