Navtej Sarna Appointed as Indian Ambassador to US
The diplomat was India’s longest serving spokesperson of the MEA as he held the post from 2002 to 2008.

- Navtej Sarna has been appointed as the Indian Ambassador to US.
- Sarna is an Indian Foreign Service Graduate from the batch of 1980. He has previously been the Indian Ambassador to Israel and Indian High Commissioner to the UK.
- Sarna became a household name when he became India’s longest serving spokesperson of the MEA between 2002 to 2008.
