PM Modi’s Sarkaari Response to Irrfan Khan’s Request for a Meeting
Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal gave appointments to Irrfan Khan over Twitter.
Actor Irrfan Khan sought an appointment with Prime Minister Narendra Modi over Twitter and got the response most people get at a government office. He was asked to write a letter to the Prime Minister’s office as Modi was ‘too busy’ with the upcoming monsoon session in Parliament.
While Irrfan Khan’s tweets could easily be considered as a promotional gimmick, Modi’s response is not completely unexpected.
Desh ka ek aam nagrik hoon. Aap se kuch sawaal pochnay the. Can I meet you @PMOIndia ?

Ahead of the release of his film Madaari, the critically acclaimed actor has sought meetings with Arvind Kejriwal, Chief Minister of Delhi and Rahul Gandhi, Vice President of the Congress party.
Kejriwal will meet Khan on Tuesday whereas Gandhi has asked Khan to Direct Message his phone number to his Twitter handle.
Khan posed the same question to all three. This is how the Twitter exchange panned out:
Arvind Kejriwal

This won’t be Khan’s first time interviewing a politician. He is one of the few people who can claim to have taken a selfie with Lalu Prasad Yadav.
