Sameena Shaikh, a 31-year-old interior designer who has only recently started her own business, has set her sights on a Rs 2.5-crore house in Mumbai’s satellite city, which she wants to buy in 2022.

This may be too aggressive a target, because she’s currently earning Rs 5 lakh a year and has an investible surplus of Rs 2.5 lakh. What’s more, she hasn’t yet started investing.
