But Sachit Chawla, 25, is an exception. He’d like to take as much as a year off before he is 30 to travel through Europe and South America. He’s aware that it’s a risk because there’s no guarantee that he’ll be able to ease back into a job once he returns from his sabbatical, but his mind is made up.
