Village Voice Provides Latest Evidence That Print Is Dead

(Bloomberg) -- The Village Voice, New York’s iconic alternative weekly, closed down its print edition to focus on online operations, succumbing to the advertising slump brought on by the internet age.

It’s tough out there. Print advertising slid 10 percent in the U.S. last year for publicly traded newspaper companies, according to the Pew Research Center.
