Vietnam Suspends News Site on Alleged False Reports

(Bloomberg) -- The newspaper Ho Chi Minh City Women was fined 55 million dong ($2,360) and had its online edition suspended for one month for allegedly publishing false stories that caused serious consequences, the Ministry of Information and Communications said in a May 28 decision posted on its website.

The newspaper published a series of feature stories about Sun Group, a real estate developer and travel operator in Da Nang City, according to the post.
