VietJet to Suspend Flights to China Feb. 1 Due to Coronavirus
(Bloomberg) -- Vietnam’s budget carrier VietJet Aviation JSC will suspend all of its fights to China February 1 amid the novel coronavirus outbreak, the airline said in an emailed statement.
The carrier’s announcement comes after Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc ordered a suspension of visas for Chinese tourists and cautioned Vietnamese against cross-border trade and travel.
Shares of VietJet tumbled by the daily limit of 7% as of 2:40 p.m. in Ho Chi Minh City trading, the biggest decline since May 2018.
