The United Arab Emirates may merge some of its ministries in a reform plan to prepare the Arab region’s second-biggest economy for a post-coronavirus period, according to its prime minister.
“We will review the government’s structure and size, may merge ministries, and change entities,” Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, who is also Dubai’s ruler, said in a tweet. “We need a government that is more agile, flexible, and fast to maintain its pace with new and different priorities.”
