(Bloomberg) --

Turkey allocated about 107 billion liras ($15 billion) to businesses, mostly to small- and medium-sized enterprises, as part of efforts to prop up the economy, Finance Minister Berat Albayrak said.

The total amount to counter the impact of the coronavirus reached 200 billion liras, including money to about 4 million citizens, Albayrak said in a Twitter video message.

Albayrak said he will lead an extended financial stability board meeting next week.

Turkey has reported more than 100,000 cases of the coronavirus, with 2,600 deaths.
