Top-Ranked LSU Beats Oklahoma to Move to College Football Final

(Bloomberg) -- Top-ranked Louisiana State University beat No. 4 University of Oklahoma 63-28 in the semifinal of the College Football Playoffs, and will advance to compete for the national title.

The LSU Tigers will play the winner of the game between Clemson University and Ohio State University.

This was the first time that two Heisman Trophy finalists played each other at the Peach Bowl. Heisman winner Joe Burrow led LSU to victory at the team’s first College Football Playoff semifinal. Heisman runner-up Jalen Hurts played for Oklahoma.

The game at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta was the third consecutive season of semifinals for the Oklahoma Sooners and fourth time overall. It was the only non-undefeated team to play in the College Football Playoff for the second year in a row.
