Thailand Looking Into Reports Korean Tourist Contracted Virus

(Bloomberg) -- Thailand said it’s looking into reports that a South Korean tourist contracted the novel coronavirus while on a visit to the Southeast Asian nation.

Thailand is discussing the matter with South Korea to determine the possible locations where the visitor may have picked up the infection, Tanarak Plipat, deputy head of the disease control department, said in a briefing in Bangkok on Tuesday.

Thailand has recorded 19 confirmed cases of the virus so far, including one instance of local transmission to a taxi driver.
