(Bloomberg) -- Spain’s diagnosed cases of the novel coronavirus jumped to 5,753 on Saturday from 4,231 on Friday evening, the Health Ministry said. Deaths rose to 136 from 121.
The increase comes as the government is set to declare a state of emergency later today. Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez will announce new measures in a speech at 2 p.m. in Madrid.
