Part-Time Pay Is Rising at the Sharpest Annual Pace Since 2002

(Bloomberg) -- Unadjusted median weekly earnings of the nation’s 23.3 million part-time wage and salary workers were $281 in the third quarter of 2018, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported. This was $15 or 5.6 percent higher than a year earlier -- the sharpest such gain since the second quarter of 2002.
