Pace of Recovery Slows in the World’s Leading Economies

The pace of recovery in the world’s leading economies slowed in August and remains below pre-crisis levels, the OECD said. The organization’s Composite Leading Indicators, which tend to precede economic turning points by about six months, rose only slightly in July and August after rebounding in June after economies reopened. The OECD repeated its warning that the gauges should be “interpreted with care” due to continued uncertainty about lockdown measures.
