Blue Origin’s Next Flight to Carry NFL Star, Space Pioneer’s Daughter

Blue Origin’s next flight will carry a former NFL star and a daughter of the first American in space.

Passengers on the Dec. 9 flight will include “Good Morning America” co-anchor and former New York Giants star Michael Strahan, as well as Laura Shepard Churchley, eldest daughter of Alan Shepard.

The flight will be the 19th for Blue Origin, the commercial space venture founded by Jeff Bezos. It will carry six people for the first time, and will also include the first parent-child pair to fly in space: Lane and Cameron Bess.

The other two passengers are space industry executive Dylan Taylor and investor Evan Dick.

Blue Origin said in a statement that Strahan was invited to the flight and will receive a stipend, which will be donated to The Boys & Girls Club.
