NFL’s Titans, Vikings Suspend Activities After Positive Tests

The Tennessee Titans and Minnesota Vikings suspended in-person team activities after three Titans players and five staff members tested positive for Covid-19.

Both teams will sit out practices on Tuesday following the test results, in accordance with the National Football League’s virus protocols, the league said in a statement. The Titans defeated the Vikings on Sept. 27, 31-30.

“On Tuesday morning, the Titans Covid testing results returned three new player positives and five new personnel positives,” according to the statement. “The Titans will suspend in-person club activities starting today. Likewise, the Vikings, who played the Titans on Sunday, will also suspend in-person club activities.”

ESPN reported that no Vikings players or personnel have tested positive.

The Titans are scheduled to play the Pittsburgh Steelers on Oct. 4, while the Vikings are slated to face off against the Houston Texans.
