Netflix Lockdown Lifted in Los Angeles After Report of Gunman

(Bloomberg) -- The Los Angeles Police Department said it lifted a lockdown order for local offices of Netflix Inc. and TV station KTLA following a report of an armed suspect in the vicinity.

A suspect was arrested, though the person did not end up having a gun, a representative for the department said by phone. The man was reportedly on top of Netflix’s building in Hollywood, NBC4 reported on its website.

“We received a tip about a potential law enforcement incident at our L.A. offices,” Netflix said in a separate statement. “Police are conducting a sweep of the lot out of an abundance of caution. There is no immediate danger or threat to our employees.”

The employees work at Sunset Bronson Studios, a production facility on Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood. KTLA reported that at least a dozen LAPD officers had gathered near Netflix’s building.
