Milken Global Conference Postponed Again, This Time to October

(Bloomberg) -- The Milken Institute Global Conference is being pushed back to Oct. 12-15 in Beverly Hills, California, from its previously rescheduled date in July.

“These new dates were selected after evaluating public guidelines and in consultation with partners in government, medical research and the private sector,” the Milken Institute said Monday in a statement.

For years the conference, which is run by billionaire financier Michael Milken’s think tank, has gathered some of the world’s most influential people to swap notes on such topics as finance, immigration, health care and politics.

The 23rd annual event was originally scheduled for early May at the Beverly Hilton hotel. On March 7, the organization postponed it to July 7-10 and moved it to Los Angeles. The shifting dates come as the U.S. grapples with the fast-spreading coronavirus, which has companies canceling travel plans and telling staff to work from home.
