Mexico Economists See Inflation Hitting 4-Year High by December

(Bloomberg) -- Mexico’s annual inflation will reach 6.5% by the end of the year, according to the median estimate in a survey of economists by Citigroup Inc.’s local unit released Wednesday.

The result, which compares to a 6.31% forecast just two weeks ago, would put Mexico’s year-end inflation well above the country’s central bank target and confirms continued price pressure. The majority of the bank’s board members see upside risks to price gains, according to minutes of its Sept. 30 meeting.
