Matt Ryan and Matt Stafford Value Plays: Fantasy Football Weekly

How bad is the NFC East? The four teams in the division have combined for just five wins. That’s the same total that the Seahawks, Bears, Chiefs, Steelers, Ravens and Titans have individually. Teams in the NFC East are struggling on both sides of the ball. Most points allowed per game? That’d be Dallas. On offense, Washington and the Giants are 30th and 31st in the league in points per game scored.

The Thursday night clash between the 1-5 Giants and the 1-4-1 Eagles could put the winner in first place. As bad as the division has been, the winner still gets to host a playoff game.

Now on to the picks. Two players I really like this week are Aaron Jones and DeAndre Hopkins. Jones faces the Texans, who are giving up the most rushing yards in the league. Hopkins gets Seattle, which is giving up a league worst 370 yards per game in the air. As two of the best at their positions, neither qualifies as one of our value picks so you’ll have to pay up if you want to play them in your daily fantasy contests.

Before we get to this week’s plays, here’s how we did last week:

Bulls

QB: Kirk Cousins: (Actual 26.72, Proj. 18)

WR: Justin Jefferson: (Actual 39.6, Proj. 13.4)

Bears

TE: Mike Gesicki: (Actual 0, Proj. 9.8 points)

TE: Zach Ertz: (Actual 7.3, Proj. 11.7)

Low Volatility

QB: Ryan Fitzpatrick: (Actual 18, Proj. 19.5)

RB: Jonathan Taylor: (Actual 15.5, Proj. 16)

RB: James Robinson: (Actual 15.3, Proj. 16.6)

WR: Kenny Golladay: (Actual 14.5, Proj. 15.6)

Week Seven Value Picks

QB: Matthew Stafford: Going to continue to play quarterbacks against the porous Falcons secondary. Atlanta is giving up 335 yards passing a game. (Projected for 19.4 points)

QB: Matt Ryan: The Falcons-Lions game could be one of the highest scoring of the week. Ryan has a healthy set of wide receivers and is at home. (19.3 points)

RB: Justin Jackson: Chargers get the Jaguars this week. Jacksonville has been getting shredded on the ground. (12.1 points)

RB: Zack Moss: Going on the premise that the Bills will build up a big lead against the woeful Jets. Moss may see plenty of carries in garbage time. (6.4 points)

WR: Terry McClaurin: Wide receivers salivate when they see Dallas on the schedule. The Washington receiver should take at least one to the house. (16.8 points)

WR: Chris Godwin: The Tampa Bay receiver returned from injury last week and he’s expected to be fully healthy against the Raiders. Could see a lot of targets from Tom Brady. (16.2 points)

TE: T.J. Hockenson: Going to pair up the Lions’ tight end with quarterback Matthew Stafford. Hockenson has scored in two straight games. (10.2 points)

TE: Austin Hooper: The Browns tight end is averaging nearly eight targets a game over the past three weeks. He faces the Bengals this week. (10.8 points)
