Major Israeli Papers Condemn Trump on Charlottesville, Save One

(Bloomberg) -- The major Israeli newspapers, with a key exception, came out quite harshly today against Trump’s Charlottesville comments.

The exception was Israel Hayom, owned by Las Vegas billionaire Sheldon Adelson, a key Trump backer. Other papers fronted the issue with Yediot Aharonot headlining with one word, "Shame," and Maariv, a competitor, headlining with "Presidential Embrace of the Far Right."

Adelson’s paper, which has the biggest circulation, relegated the issue to page 24 with the headline: “Storm in the US. ‘Trump, there are no good neo-Nazis.’" Instead, it put two main stories on the front page: one on Israeli health care and one on Iran.
