Lasting Hit to Sentiment Means Slower Growth in Germany
(Bloomberg) -- The longer-than-anticipated knock to German sentiment doesn’t mean the economy is in for a deep downturn, according to research by Bloomberg Economics. Confidence indicators suggest some growth in the first half of the year, even if it’s weak. The greatest risk to the economy lies in U.S. President Donald Trump’s threat to strike European automakers with new tariffs.
