Kenya and Uganda Restore Power Supply After National Outages

(Bloomberg) --

Kenya and Uganda restored power supply after hours of nationwide blackouts, electricity authorities in the two East African nations said.

The Ugandan outage originated from a fault with the Kenya Power & Lighting Co. system, the Electricity Regulatory Authority said in a statement on Twitter.

Kenya Power identified the technical fault at a key high-voltage transmission line, it said on Twitter. The state-run utility said it restored supply to most parts of the country.
