JAB Hires L’Oreal Veteran as It Diversifies Top Ranks
(Bloomberg) -- JAB will add a top woman leader from L’Oreal SA to its corporate ranks, diversifying its roster of executives and snagging an important official from a rival, according to a person familiar with the matter.
Lubomira Rochet, who spent seven years leading the beauty company’s global e-commerce operations, will join the board of several companies within JAB’s portfolio, including those focused on fast-casual dining, petcare and luxury. She had been seen by some as a candidate to take over as chief executive officer of L’Oreal.
With her hiring, women now represent three out of the 11 partners. She brings expertise in expanding e-commerce operations, having overseen rapid growth of online sales during her time at L’Oreal. Rochet won’t be involved with JAB’s beauty investment, Coty Inc. Rochet will start on June 1.
JAB declined to comment. The company’s brands include Keurig Dr Pepper, Caribou Coffee, Krispy Kreme and Compassion-First Pet Hospitals. The company has expanded via acquisitions in recent years to become a major worldwide player in the beverage industry.
The company has adjusted its leadership ranks in recent months, promoting Joachim Creus and David Bell to senior partner positions as Chief Executive Officer Olivier Goudet seeks to accelerate growth.
