Israel Weighs Quarantine for Travelers From All Destinations

(Bloomberg) --

Israel may expand quarantine orders to cover passengers arriving from all destinations abroad to try and control the coronavirus outbreak.

“It’s not a secret that we’ve been pushing for this,” Health Minister Yakov Litzman said, adding that a decision would be taken later Monday. An additional 14 people in Israel were diagnosed with coronavirus, raising the total number of cases to 39.

Israel has already ordered citizens returning from some countries in Asia and Europe to enter home quarantine for 14 days. Tens of thousands of people are in quarantine, either because they have returned from one of those countries, or because they have had contact with one of the coronavirus patients.
