Israel’s High Court Says Netanyahu Can Serve as Prime Minister

(Bloomberg) -- Israel’s High Court of Justice unanimously dismissed petitions seeking to bar indicted Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu from forming the next government.

The country’s top court also said in its ruling that it saw no reason to weigh in on the power-sharing agreement between Netanyahu and rival Benny Gantz.

Israeli media reported that the two men set a May 13 date for swearing in the next ruling coalition, the country’s first permanent government since December 2018.
