Israel’s Final Polls Show Another Election Night Stalemate
(Bloomberg) --
The last polls before Israel’s March 23 national vote show another stalemate, with neither Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s camp nor the opposing bloc clearly able to muster a parliamentary majority.
In most polls, Netanyahu’s Likud party -- the country’s biggest -- appeared slightly stronger than before, winning 30 to 32 of parliament’s 120 seats.
Four parties were grazing the threshold to enter parliament. That could have a dramatic impact because in Israel’s fragmented political landscape, even a seat or two could decide the outcome.
The ballot will be the country’s fourth in two years.
