Israel Justice Ministry Submits Netanyahu Indictment to Court

(Bloomberg) -- Israeli prosecutors have filed an indictment against Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in the Jerusalem district court, the Justice Ministry said on Tuesday.

The graft charges were submitted after Netanyahu said he was withdrawing his request for parliamentary immunity.

The attorney general’s office told Netanyahu in November that he would be tried in three cases, on charges including bribery. He’s accused of abusing his position to take gifts from wealthy friends and benefiting media moguls to win favorable coverage.

No trial date has been set. The premier is locked in an electoral fight with chief rival Benny Gantz, with the third national ballot in less than a year to be held on March 2.
