Israel Has Ability to Hit Iran ‘Tomorrow’: Next Air Force Chief
(Bloomberg) -- Israel has the ability to carry out a successful strike on Iran’s nuclear sites as early as tomorrow, the country’s incoming Air Force commander said in an interview published on the Ynet news website.
Major General Tomer Bar, who will begin the job in April, said that he doesn’t know why the U.S. refused to expedite the delivery of refueling aircraft that could be important in any attack on Iran. He said he hadn’t yet exhausted the possibility of getting at least two of the planes.
If Israel strikes Iran, the Shiite Hezbollah militant group in Lebanon is likely to attack Israel, Bar said, leading to a third Lebanon war that would be much more intensive than the two previous conflicts and in which Israel would seek a decisive victory.
The full interview with Bar will be released on Friday, the news website said.
