Ireland Extends Lockdown as Virus Claims More Lives

(Bloomberg) -- Ireland widened its lockdown, after a surge in coronavirus cases and the numbers of deaths topped twenty.

From midnight in Dublin, people should stay home unless for essential work, food shopping or “brief” individual physical exercise within two kilometers of homes for the next two weeks. All gatherings should stop, Irish Prime Minister Leo Varadkar told reporters in Dublin on Friday.
