Goldman Sachs Says Summer Interns Will Work From Its Offices

Goldman Sachs Group Inc. told its incoming class of summer interns that they will be able to work from the Wall Street giant’s offices.

In a letter to interns, Goldman cited the progress of vaccine rollouts worldwide and its own efforts to prepare offices for more workers as contributing to its decision. Goldman was among banks that curtailed internship programs last year amid stay-at-home orders to combat the Covid-19 pandemic.

“We want to emphasize that the safety and well-being of our people, including our incoming summer interns, is at the forefront of all our decisions,” the bank said in its letter. “With this in mind and after careful consideration, the 2021 Goldman Sachs Summer Internship Program will be hosted in person for those of you able to travel to your internship office safely.”

The New York-based bank said all interns will start with a one-week virtual training program.
