Gianforte Holds Montana House Seat for Republicans

(Bloomberg) -- Republican incumbent Greg Gianforte won the House race for Montana’s at-large district against Democratic challenger Kathleen Williams, the Associated Press reports. This will be Gianforte’s first full term in the House.

Gianforte won a special election in May 2017 a day after he notoriously body-slammed a reporter. He later pleaded guilty to assault. The race was considered "lean Republican" by the Cook Political Report.
