Freeze on F-35 Deal Won’t Affect Israel-UAE Ties, Netanyahu Says
(Bloomberg) -- The Biden administration’s decision to suspend the sale of F-35 fighter jets to the United Arab Emirates won’t affect Israel’s ties with the Gulf country.
“We’re passed the point of no return,” Netanyahu said at an impromptu press briefing broadcast on his Facebook page.
The Trump administration had granted in its final months the UAE’s long-sought effort to acquire Lockheed Martin Corp. F-35s after the Gulf Arab nation reached a normalization deal with Israel. The arms agreement had already cleared Congress.
