Finnish Nurse Unions Threaten Mass Resignation in Labor Protest

Finnish nurses are threatening a mass resignation to protest government plans to force them to work amid a strike.

About 25,000 nurses were on strike from April 1 to 15 in protest against low pay and unpredictable working hours, but a second phase of their strike, set to start April 20, was cancelled. Two nursing unions, Tehy and SuPer, said on Tuesday they would begin preparations for their members to quit their jobs in protest.
