Fantasy Football Weekly: Buy Low on Le’Veon Bell -- If You Can
(Bloomberg) -- The real NFL trading deadline has come and gone with no major moves that will impact your fantasy lineup. The two biggest players to change teams last week were receivers Mohamed Sanu and Emmanuel Sanders. While they’re both capable of the occasional breakout game, they’re third-tier wide receivers. Most trade deadlines in fantasy leagues are still a few weeks away.
One buy low candidate you should consider is Le’Veon Bell. Just take a look at the Jets next six games for the reason why: They’ve got the Dolphins twice, plus the Giants, Redskins, Raiders, and Bengals.
Before we get to our Week 9 selections, lets recap last week’s plays. A reminder: We look for value picks, not the obvious FAANG Stocks of Fantasy, like Saquon Barkley. The picks are based on a points per reception league.

Jared Goff: 372 yards passing, 2 TDs
Ryan Tannehill: 193 yards passing, 3 TDs
Aaron Jones: 226 totals yards, 2 TDs
Tyler Lockett: 6 catches, 100 yards
Jonnu Smith: 6 catches, 78 yards, 1 TD
Bears
Ty Johnson: 25 yards rushing
Benny Snell: 13 yards rushing
Brandin Cooks: 0 catches
T.J. Hockenson: 1 catch, 21 yards
Low Volatility
Carlos Hyde: 83 yards rushing
Alexander Mattison: 64 total yards
Tyler Boyd: 6 catches, 65 yards
Week 9 Value Picks
QB: Jimmy Garoppolo: The undefeated 49ers have been doing it on the ground. Look for the San Francisco quarterback to light up Arizona, one of the worst defenses against the pass in the league.
QB: Kirk Cousins: The Vikings quarterback gets the Chiefs in what could be a high scoring game if Patrick Mahomes plays.
RB: Le’Veon Bell: The Jets offense has been a disaster but who better to break out against than the winless Dolphins.
RB: Devin Singletary: The Bills, coming off a loss to the Eagles, will seek revenge against Washington. Singletary saw an increased workload in the passing game last week.
RB: Phillip Lindsay: The Broncos are down to their backup quarterback. Expect Denver to keep it on the ground against the Browns, who are the fourth worst against the run in the NFL.
WR: Tyler Lockett: Ride the Seattle receiver once again. They host Tampa Bay, the second worst pass defense in the league.
WR: Michael Gallup: He was torched by the Giants on opening day, and New York’s secondary isn’t much better halfway through the season.
TE: Kyle Rudolph: Expect the Vikings to put up points against the Chiefs. The Vikings tight end may get a score.
TE: T.J. Hockenson: Give the Lions tight end one more shot against the Raiders, who gave up two touchdowns to Texans’ tight end Darren Fells last week.
