Ex-Endeavour Energy CFO Joins Investment Bank Barrenjoey

Navodit Narain, former chief financial officer at Endeavour Energy Network Operator Partnership, has joined new Australian investment bank Barrenjoey Capital Partners Pty, according to people familiar with the matter.

Narain is leading Barrenjoey’s debt advisory practice, said the people, who asked not to be named as they were not authorized to speak publicly. Prior to Endeavour, Narain spent about 10 years in Macquarie Group Ltd., where he had worked in infrastructure advisory and debt markets, according to his LinkedIn profile.

Narain declined to comment when reached by phone, while his LinkedIn profile lists his current role as a partner at Barrenjoey after departing from Endeavour in September. A representative for Barrenjoey didn’t immediately respond to requests for comment.

Endeavour Energy supplies electricity to 2.4 million people in New South Wales, according to its website. It was fully owned by the state government until 2017, when a consortium led by Macquarie Infrastructure and Real Assets bought a 50.4% stake. Its investors also include British Columbia Investment Management Corp. and Qatar Investment Authority.
