After Fatal Train Crash, Egypt Prosecutor Orders 8 Detained
(Bloomberg) -- Authorities have ordered detained the drivers of the two trains that collided over the weekend in Upper Egypt, killing 19 people, the country’s top prosecutor said in a statement.
Another six people were also ordered detained amid investigations into what caused the crash. The accident has fueled new calls for reform of the country’s railroad sector.
