Dubai, Saudi Arabia to Allow Employees to Return to Offices

(Bloomberg) --

Dubai will allow 100% of public sector employees to return to work from their offices by June 14 as the Middle East business hub eases restrictions imposed to curb the spread of the coronavirus.

The emirate is continuing its “gradual return to normal life with intensified precautionary measures,” Dubai’s Crown Prince, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed, tweeted on Wednesday.

Dubai, a part of the United Arab Emirates, announced it will reduce the nightly movement curbs and will allow businesses such as gyms and cinemas to reopen earlier this week.

Neighboring Gulf state, Saudi Arabia, said it would lift the suspension which banned private sector employees from returning to their offices as it initiates its three-phase plan to have life return to normal. Private companies will have to abide by preventative and precautionary measures, the state-run Saudi Press Agency reported.
