Dubai Exchange Shuts Trading Floor to Prevent Spread of Virus
(Bloomberg) --
The Dubai Financial Market temporarily closed its trading floor and customer affairs counters as precautionary measure to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.
The trading floor will be shut from Monday until further notice, the exchange said in a statement.
“The temporary closure of the trading floor doesn’t affect the trading activity as it continues as usual,” Chief Operating Officer Hassan Al Serkal said. Investors can carry on with their activities through the DFM online and smart platforms as well as the licensed brokerage firms.”
The Dubai exchange’s move follows Abu Dhabi closing trading halls at its main offices on Sunday.
