(Bloomberg) -- Florida Governor Ron DeSantis said he was working on a plan for handling the Covid-19 threat from international travelers after a request from President Donald Trump.
DeSantis said he was specifically concerned about Brazil, a country with close ties to South Florida. DeSantis said he was considering asking airlines to screen and test passengers from areas with significant outbreaks.
DeSantis met with Trump in Washington last week, and mentioned his concern about Brazil. The Sunshine State started reopening retail and restaurants in most parts of the state this week.
