Country Music Legend Kenny Rogers Has Died, Family Say

(Bloomberg) -- Kenny Rogers, the white-haired country singer whose hits included “The Gambler” and “Islands in the Stream,” has died. He was 81.

“Rogers passed away peacefully at home from natural causes under the care of hospice and surrounded by his family,” the Rogers family said on Twitter.

Rogers dominated country and pop music in the 1970s and ‘80s and won three Grammy Awards, among other accolades.
