British Workers Are Still Waiting for Pre-Crisis Wages: Chart

(Bloomberg) -- British pay packets have yet to recover to the levels before the financial crash a decade ago. Workers earned between 2 percent and 3 percent less in real terms in 2016-17 than they did in 2007-08, according to two data sources analyzed by the Institute for Fiscal Studies. And the pressure on living standards is set to continue, the think tank warned, unless Britain can boost productivity.
