Brazil President Goes Shooting Hours After Court Backs Probe

(Bloomberg) -- Hours after Brazil’s Supreme Court gave the green light for a probe into allegations that Jair Bolsonaro tried to interfere with police investigations, the president went to blow off some steam at a shooting range.

Bolsonaro left the residential palace early on Tuesday, skipping his usual chat with supporters and journalists just outside the gate. With nothing on his agenda until mid-morning, local TV crews were left scrambling to find him.

The president himself soon revealed his whereabouts: in a short video on social media, a smiling Bolsonaro showed the bullet holes left behind in a target -- all at the center.

“Not bad, hey?,” he said as gunfire sounded in the background.
