Boris Johnson ‘Able to Do Short Walks, Between Periods of Rest’

(Bloomberg) --

U.K. Prime Minister Boris Johnson, who has been receiving treatment for coronavirus in a London hospital, has “been able to do short walks, between periods of rest, as part of the care he is receiving to aid his recovery.”

“He has spoken to his doctors and thanks the whole clinical team for the incredible care he has received,” according to a spokesman for 10 Downing Street. “His thoughts are with those affected by this terrible disease.”

Johnson was released from intensive care Thursday evening after his deputy said it’s too soon for the U.K. to relax the lockdown imposed 17 days ago in an effort to slow the spread of the coronavirus.
