Flatiron Health Expands its Headquarters in Manhattan's Soho

Alphabet-Backed Flatiron Health Expands Hub in NYC's Soho Area

(Bloomberg) -- Health-care technology company Flatiron Health Inc. is almost doubling in size at its headquarters in Manhattan’s Soho neighborhood.

The firm, which runs a cancer-focused medical records platform, will increase its space at the One Soho Square office tower to 252,452 square feet (23,453 square meters), according to a statement from Savills, the brokerage that represented the tenant. The 10-year lease renewal and expansion will bring its total presence in the building to nine of the building’s 15 floors.

Flatiron Health, founded in 2012, moved into the tower last year, around the time it was acquired by Swiss oncology giant Roche Holding AG. The company, which has received funding from Google parent Alphabet Inc., plans to have 1,000 full-time employees by the end of the year, up from about 800 today.

A Savills team including Zev Holzman, Brad Wolk and Herman Dodson advised Flatiron Health in the deal. Newmark Knight Frank represented the building’s owners, Stellar Management and Imperium Capital.

Other tenants at One Soho Square include health insurer Aetna Inc. and eyewear maker Warby Parker.
