(Bloomberg) -- Spanish Interior Minister Fernando Grande-Marlaska says European leaders mustn’t see immigration policy as a tradeoff between “humanity and security.”
“We can’t make this a choice between humanity and security, security and humanity together must be completely viable,” Grande-Marlaska says in interview with state broadcaster TVE
Grande-Marlaska says he’ll look at the legal basis for ordering summary deportations for people arriving in Spain without papers
“I’ll take these decisions with seriousness and the urgency the subject requires,” he says
