Fox News Wins Dismissal of Retaliation Suit by Ex-Host Tantaros

(Bloomberg) -- Fox News won dismissal of a lawsuit by former host Andrea Tantaros alleging retaliation over her 2016 sexual harassment complaint that described the network as operating like a “sex-fueled, Playboy Mansion-like cult.”

Tantaros accused Fox News last year of subjecting her to a campaign of hacking, electronic surveillance and social media harassment calculated to ruin her career and reputation.

Tantaros’s claims are "based primarily on speculation and conjecture," U.S. District Judge George Daniels wrote in an opinion dismissing the case Friday.

Fox News Chief Executive Officer Roger Ailes resigned in the wake of harassment complaints in 2016. He died in May 2017. Bill O’Reilly, the network’s top-rated host, was ousted after women complained he sexually harassed them.
