South Africa's Economy Seen Growing at a Slower Pace: Chart

(Bloomberg) -- South Africa’s economy probably expanded at a slower rate in the third quarter as the country struggles to recover from a second recession in less than a decade. A report by the nation’s statistics office on Tuesday may show the continent’s most-industrialized economy grew an annualized 1.7 percent compared with the previous three months, according to the median estimate of 15 economists surveyed by Bloomberg. Gross domestic product expanded 0.3 percent last year, the slowest pace since a 2009 recession.
