Blockchain Bandwagon Sends Another London Small Cap Soaring

(Bloomberg) -- Any mention of the word “blockchain” is still sending London small caps soaring.

ADVFN plc. is up 8 percent in London after saying its brokerage unit Throgmorton Street Capital will start a new regulation advisory service for companies that work with the technology. On-line Plc, or “On-line Blockchain Plc,” which owns an 18 percent stake in ADVFN also jumped.

You might remember On-line: It rose 394 percent last month after adding the word blockchain to its name. The company later cautioned it was still in early stages of developing a product.

ADVFN says its new web portal-based service will allow it to advise companies on how to avoid many of the “serious and emergent pitfalls” of the technology.
